Liberty's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Doral Academy Red Rock Dragons, sneaking past 9-8. With that victory, the Patriots brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

Portlynn Stacey was a standout: she fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Presley Crowder, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Liberty lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Liberty's record is now 7-10. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Liberty will host Foothill at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Falcons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Patriots' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, they will head out on the road to challenge Arbor View at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Aggies will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Dragons surely won't give up without a fight.
