Softball Recap: Banks Has No Trouble Against Enterprise/Joseph

Banks picked up another tournament win on Friday. They put the hurt on the Enterprise/Joseph Savages with a sharp 15-5 win.

Sydney Phillips was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That one hit allowed gave her a new career-low. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four runs, two triples, and one RBI. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.2 runs per game.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Khloe Long, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Makayla Prevost, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Banks hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most three strikeouts every time they've taken the field this season.

Banks now has a winning record of 2-1-1. As for Enterprise/Joseph, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Banks is taking a road trip to take on Scio at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Enterprise/Joseph, they will challenge Umpqua Valley Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
