Volleyball Recap: Evergreen Starts Season with Loss on the Road + How To Watch

Evergreen had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Arvada West Wildcats. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-13, 25-20.

Leading Arvada West to victory were Mya Lee and Brooke Luna. Lee had seven aces and six digs, while Luna had six digs and two aces. That's the most aces Luna has posted since back in October of 2024.

Evergreen will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Summit at 6:30 p.m. on September 4. As for Arvada West, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Green Mountain on the 26th.
