Football Recap: Ramsay Triumphs + How To Watch

After low-scoring totals in their previous three match, Ramsay brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They put the hurt on the Corner Yellow Jackets with a sharp 34-14 win on Friday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Rams' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Jayden Martin had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 132 yards and a pair of TDs on only 13 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 126 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Ramsay proved: they limited Corner to a paltry 2.8 yards per carry. The Rams didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 10.8.

Corner's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyson Hill, who picked up 122 receiving yards and one score. The team also got some help courtesy of Keaton Coffee, who threw for 238 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Ramsay's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Corner, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Ramsay has already played their next contest, a 40-7 win against John Carroll Catholic on the 19th. As for Corner, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Jacksonville at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
