Softball Recap: Davis Darts vs. Syracuse Titans

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Davis had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Syracuse Titans and snuck past 13-12. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Davis.

Lauryn Hall was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with a home run, three runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Hadlee Isaacs, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

On Syracuse's side, Eryn Hamblin led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and a double. Another player making a difference was Jazmine Prathan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5.

Davis is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. As for Syracuse, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-12.

Davis will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Pleasant Grove at 3:00 p.m. Pleasant Grove will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Davis surely won't give up without a fight. Syracuse does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
