Soccer Game Preview: Greenville vs. Wilmington

Greenville is 0-10 against Wilmington since September of 2017 but things could change on Wednesday. The Trojans will head out to take on the Greyhounds at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Greenville's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Sharon with a sharp 6-0 win. Greenville haven't had any issues with Sharon recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Greenville hit Sharon with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Payton Wasser (2), Kelsi Russell (2), and Bella Whiteman (2).

Meanwhile, Wilmington beat Hickory 4-2 on Monday.

Wilmington's win bumped their record up to 8-2-1. As for Greenville, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5-1.

Greenville suffered a grim 6-3 defeat to Wilmington when the teams last played back in September. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
