Football Game Preview: Surrey Mustangs vs. Dunseith Dragons

The Surrey Mustangs will face off against the Dunseith Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Surrey is looking for their season's first win.

Surrey is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Towner-Granville-Upham on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Mustangs took a blow against the Titans, falling 36-6. The Mustangs were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Meanwhile, Dunseith was beaten by Westhope/Newburg/Glenburn 50-14 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Dragons in their meetings with the Sioux: they've now lost four in a row.

Surrey's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Dunseith, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 0-7.

Everything came up roses for Surrey against Dunseith when the teams last played back in September of 2023, as the team secured a 58-26 victory. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Dragons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
