Basketball Game Preview: Turkey Valley Trojans vs. Kee Kee Hawks

Turkey Valley is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Kee is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Turkey Valley Trojans will welcome the Kee Kee Hawks on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Turkey Valley had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 48-point drubbing they dealt West Central on Thursday. Turkey Valley simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat West Central 61-13. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 146th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 327th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Kee against Clayton-Ridge on Thursday as the squad secured a 58-30 win. The victory continues a trend for the Kee Hawks in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won six in a row.

Turkey Valley is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.7 points over those games. As for Kee, their win bumped their record up to 15-6.

Turkey Valley strolled past Kee when the teams last played back in January by a score of 59-42. Will Turkey Valley repeat their success, or does Kee have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
