Baseball Recap: West Charlotte Comes Up Short

After flying high against Chambers on Friday, West Charlotte came back down to earth. The Lions came up short against the North Mecklenburg Vikings on Monday, falling 18-8. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 11-1 to the Vikings when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

A Raley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one run. C Vazquez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run.

West Charlotte's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for North Mecklenburg, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.

While West Charlotte had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
