Baseball Recap: New Albany Comes Up Short

New Albany lost to Grove City back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Eagles fell 9-4 to the Greyhounds.

Remy Trautner made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Van Routhier, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

New Albany now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Grove City, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

While New Albany had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
