Jackson Grant named 2020-21 MaxPreps Washington High School Basketball Player of the Year

Top 100 prospect set Olympia's career scoring record with 1,352 points.

Each year since 2006, MaxPreps has recognized outstanding performers in high school basketball. America's source for high school sports continues the tradition to close out the 2020-21 season by naming the top player in each state. Selections are based on team success and individual excellence, in addition to local and state accolades.

Jackson Grant of Olympia is the 2020-21 MaxPreps Washington High School Basketball Player of the Year. The 6-foot-10 senior center helped the Bears go 14-2 en route to the South Puget Sound League 4A tournament championship.

Grant averaged 22.9 points, 11.3 rebounds and 3.0 blocked shots per contest, shooting an efficient 65 percent from the field.

The four-star prospect broke Olympia's career scoring record in his final game, pouring in 32 points to finish with 1,352 points.



Signed with Washington, Grant is regarded as the No. 12 center prospect and the No. 74 overall prospect in the Class of 2021 overall after being named a McDonald's All-American prior to the season.
