Recap: Clark Chargers vs. Coachella Valley Mighty Arabs
On Wednesday, Clark earned a 46-33 win over Coachella Valley. Given Clark's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 32nd in Nevada, while Coachella Valley is ranked 907th in California), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Clark's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ariana Brown, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Brown is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinity Tavita, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds and six assists.
Clark is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Coachella Valley, they have fallen quite a ways from their 19-9 record last season and are now at 3-5.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing La Quinta the next time they take the court. Clark will head out to face La Quinta at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Coachella Valley will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
