Baseball Game Preview: Upper Dublin Cardinals vs. Shaler Area Titans

The Upper Dublin Cardinals will challenge the Shaler Area Titans at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Upper Dublin is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They never let Elizabethtown get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Cardinals, who have now won four contests in a row.

Lampeter-Strasburg typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Shaler Area proved too difficult a challenge. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Pioneers 2-0. Winning may never get old, but the Titans sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Shaler Area pushed their record up to 19-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Upper Dublin, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5-1.
