Volleyball Recap: Dover Takes a Loss

If Dover was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Pawling on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Dragons fell just short of the Highland Huskies by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Dragons in their meetings with the Huskies: they've now lost six in a row.

Dover took Highland into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-21, 20-25, 25-17, 8-15.

Dover's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Highland, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.

Dover has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Spackenkill on the 9th. Highland has also already played their next contest (against Marlboro Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
