There's no place like home for Elmwood-Murdock, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They skirted past the Palmyra Panthers 2-1. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Elmwood-Murdock had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 14-25, 25-20, 25-13.

Annie Backemeyer paced Elmwood-Murdock's offense, picking up 14 kills. Backemeyer got some help from Lucy Backemeyer and her 24 assists. Lucy also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Brooklyn Mans, each putting up two.

Elmwood-Murdock has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Palmyra, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
