Soccer Game Preview: Greensburg vs. Morristown

The Greensburg Pirates will head out to challenge the Morristown Yellow Jackets at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Greensburg turned things around against Southwestern on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Rebels a 10-0 shutout. The match marked Greensburg's most dominant win of the season.

Meanwhile, Morristown made easy work of Knightstown on Tuesday and carried off a 6-0 victory. Morristown have beaten Knightstown the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Knightstown has come to flipping the script.

Greensburg's win bumped their record up to 9-5-1. As for Morristown, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7-2.

Everything went Greensburg's way against Morristown when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Greensburg made off with a 4-1 win. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Yellow Jackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
