Softball Recap: Episcopal's Run of Four Straight Victories Now Over

Episcopal dropped their record down to 11-9 on Thursday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 15-0 to the Northlake Christian Wolverines. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 20-1 to the Wolverines when the teams met back in March of 2018, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Northlake Christian, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-13. The result was nothing new for the Wolverines, who have now won eight contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Northlake Christian's part, they got a massive performance out of Maitland Popham, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those two runs gave Popham a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sara Davis, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

While Episcopal had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
