Preview: Sho-Ban Chiefs vs. Watersprings
The Sho-Ban Chiefs will head out on the road to challenge Watersprings at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Sho-Ban and five for Watersprings.
Sho-Ban suffered their biggest loss since December 14, 2023 on Saturday. They were the victim of a tough 57-34 defeat at the hands of Mackay. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Sho-Ban in their matchups with Mackay: they've now lost six in a row.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Watersprings, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 33-15 loss to Leadore on Saturday.
Kaitlyn Syverson was Watersprings' leading scorer, having posted six points.
Caroline Combs held things down on the boards with 11 rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with an assist.
Sho-Ban has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Watersprings, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.
Sho-Ban suffered a grim 52-30 defeat to Watersprings when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Sho-Ban avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
