Soccer Recap: Limestone Takes a Loss

After flying high against Peoria Christian last Friday, Limestone came back down to earth. The Rockets came up short against the Pekin Dragons on Wednesday, falling 4-0. Limestone have struggled against Pekin recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Limestone's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Pekin, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8-2 record this season.

Limestone will be playing at home against Canton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pekin, they will challenge Richwoods at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Pekin's defense better be ready for this one: Richwoods have averaged an impressive 2.9 goals per game this season.
