Baseball Recap: Goshen Takes a Loss

Goshen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 17-7 to the Highland Home Flying Squadron. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Flying Squadron earlier this season, when they won 9-1.

Tyler McLendon made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Goshen is 2-1 when McLendon posts two or more runs, but 2-7 otherwise.

Goshen's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Highland Home, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Coming up, Goshen will take on Pike Liberal Arts at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Highland Home, they will square off against Central at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
