Recap: Pacific Grove vs. York
If the Pacific Grove Breakers were feeling good off their 6-0 takedown of the Trinity Christian Warriors last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Pacific Grove suffered a tough 3-0 defeat at the hands of York on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty six goals in the game before, Pacific Grove couldn't push the score so high this time.
Pacific Grove has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6-1 record this season. As for York, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3-1.
Pacific Grove will head out on the road to take on Oakwood at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pacific Grove is coming into the matchup with three straight defeats on the road, meaning Oakwood will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for York, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Trinity Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Trinity Christian's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for nine straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
