East Chapel Hill and Carrboro are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2015, but likely not for long. The Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Jaguars at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. East Chapel Hill is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.

Anna Grabowski made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. Fichter has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Carrboro got a massive performance out of Lauren Curry, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3. Vivian Martin was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3.

Carrboro always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Carrboro is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
