Football Recap: Caldwell Parish Spartans vs. Ouachita Christian Eagles
Caldwell Parish couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 42-0 loss at the hands of the Ouachita Christian Eagles.
Ouachita Christian was led to victory by Luke Vidrine and Makin Lenard. Vidrine threw for 202 yards and a touchdown, while Lenard rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in total yards. Cooper Russell made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caldwell Parish will head out to face off against Winnfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have been evenly matched recently as the teams are 4-4 against one another since September of 2015. As for Ouachita Christian, they will face off against General Trass at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
