Football Recap: Capuchino Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Capuchino scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 48-27 to the Woodside Wildcats. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2019.

Daniel Torres was his usual excellent self, picking up 142 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also rushing for 80 yards and two scores on only five carries for Woodside. Torres' longest rush was for an impressive 57 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Woodside also got a significant boost from Evan Frampton, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 92 yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Capuchino and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Woodside, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

After each having a week off, Capuchino and Wilcox will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on October 2. The Chargers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for Woodside, they will host Santa Clara at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
