Valley Center and Southwest SD squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Valley Center had to settle for second. They lost 75-55 to the Southwest SD Raiders. The Jaguars have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Valley Center lost, don't look at Lincoln Zetmeir. Despite the final result, he posted 22 points. The game was Zetmeir's 29th in a row with at least 16 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Southwest SD to victory, but perhaps none more so than Khalid Deiranieh, who scored 22 points. Another player making a difference was Brandon Borja, who put up 21 points.

Valley Center's loss dropped their record down to 9-20. As for Southwest SD, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 19 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season.
