Valley View turns things around after tough road loss

There's no place like home for the Valley View Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Hemet by a score of 73-61 on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Valley View found their leader in underclassman Charles Knight, who scored 36 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Knight has scored at least a third of Valley View's points. Maurice Lynch was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.

Valley View is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. As for Hemet, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-6.

Valley View will head out on the road to challenge Hemet at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hemet, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Valley View at 6:00 p.m. Valley View knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Hemet likes a good challenge.
