Recap: Wright City Lumberjax vs. Tushka Tigers
It was a good run, but the Wright City Lumberjax unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Tushka by a score of 60-57. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Thursday (55), Wright City still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Wright City still got an impressive performance from Kase Lindly, who scored 24 points along with 3 steals. Lindly scored a full 42.1% of Wright City's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kanyon Burrell, who scored 9 points.
Tagen Simon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Tushka, scoring 29 points along with 7 assists and 7 rebounds. The game was Simon's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Tristan Gibson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Wright City's loss dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Tushka, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.
Wright City will head out on the road to face off against Hugo at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tushka, they will be playing at home against Stuart at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oklahoma (Stuart is ranked 39th, while Tushka is ranked 52nd).
