Basketball Recap: Cypress Creek Comes Up Short

Cypress Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Gulf Buccaneers, falling 77-53. The Coyotes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buccaneers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

It was another big night for Jaydn Wood, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds for Gulf. Tyler Holmes was another key player, going 6 of 14 en route to 14 points.

Cypress Creek's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Gulf, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Cypress Creek has already played their next game, a 60-54 defeat against Sunlake on the 15th. As for Gulf, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-37 loss against Springstead on the 15th.
