Basketball Game Preview: Union County Patriots vs. Cosby Eagles

The Union County Patriots will head out to challenge the Cosby Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Union County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Cosby likes a good challenge.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Union County turned things around against Cumberland Gap on Tuesday. They walked away with a 74-64 win over the Panthers.

Meanwhile, Cosby was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap two weeks ago as they fell 60-54 to Harriman. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Union County's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-4. As for Cosby, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
