Baseball Recap: Pickerington Central Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bishop Hartley, Pickerington Central was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Logan Chieftains, sneaking past 3-2. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Chieftains recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Pickerington Central's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Cameron Green, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Green is becoming a predictor of the Tigers' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 4-2 (and 3-5 when he doesn't).

The win got Pickerington Central back to even at 7-7. As for Logan, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Pickerington Central will challenge rival Canal Winchester at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Logan is set to face off against their familiar foe Newark at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
