Basketball Game Preview: Paramount Pirates vs. Firebaugh Falcons

The Paramount Pirates will head out on the road to challenge the Firebaugh Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Wednesday, Paramount didn't have quite enough to beat Lynwood and fell 52-49. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Firebaugh came up short against Norwalk on Wednesday and fell 42-34. The defeat continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Lancers: they've now lost four in a row.

Firebaugh's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Paramount, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-12.

Paramount skirted past Firebaugh 71-69 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
