Soccer Game Preview: Brighton vs. Olympus

The Brighton Bengals will face off against the Olympus Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Brighton's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Tuesday, Brighton came up short against Viewmont and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, Olympus faced Alta in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Titans narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Hawks 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for Olympus.

EZRA HEYES and PETER GILBERT scored both of Olympus' goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Brighton's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Olympus, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.

Brighton suffered a grim 5-2 defeat to Olympus in their previous matchup back in March. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Bengals were down 5-2.
