Shorecrest hasn't had much luck against Edmonds-Woodway recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Scots will welcome the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.

Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Shorecrest turned things around against Lynnwood on Wednesday. They blew past the Royals 27-4. The Scots' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Chloe Gurnee made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off nine hits (and not a single walk). Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
