Basketball Game Preview: Waterford Wildcats vs. Riverbank Bruins + Official Tickets

Waterford is 2-7 against Riverbank since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The two teams will face off at 8:00 p.m. without much rest, having both just played. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Waterford took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They snuck past Turlock Christian with a 54-49 win. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Riverbank). They breezed past Le Grand to the tune of 71-17 on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

The victory got Riverbank back to even at 4-4. As for Waterford, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Waterford didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Riverbank in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 49-44 victory.
