Basketball Game Preview: A Plus Academy Knights vs. Trinity Leadership Tigers

A Plus Academy hasn't had much luck against Trinity Leadership recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The A Plus Academy Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Trinity Leadership Tigers at 7:00 p.m.

Last Friday, A Plus Academy took a blow against Village Tech, falling 67-32. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1346th, while the Viper Squid are ranked 396th).

Trinity Leadership played against Gateway Charter Academy and won via forfeit.

The victory was the eighth in a row for Trinity Leadership, bringing their record for this year to 19-14. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.9 points per game. As for A Plus Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.

A Plus Academy took a serious blow against Trinity Leadership when the teams last played on January 3rd, falling 100-36. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Trinity Leadership's Caron McGee, who went 10 for 20 on his way to 30 points and three steals.
