Preview: Divine Savior Academy Sharks vs. Reagan Bison
The Divine Savior Academy Sharks will head out on the road to challenge the Reagan Bison at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Divine Savior Academy is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Divine Savior Academy suffered their biggest loss since December 8, 2023 on Thursday. They were dealt a 54-19 loss at the hands of Ransom Everglades. Divine Savior Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-9.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Evie Hoppe, who scored six points along with two steals. That's the first time this season that she grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sofia Mueller, who scored five points along with 14 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Reagan's ten-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over Hialeah-Miami Lakes. The victory was just what Reagan needed coming off of a 50-18 loss in their prior game.
Divine Savior Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Reagan, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-11.
Divine Savior Academy strolled past Reagan when the teams last played two weeks ago by a score of 33-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for Divine Savior Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
