Preview: Knightstown Panthers vs. Cambridge City Lincoln Golden Eagles
The Knightstown Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Cambridge City Lincoln Golden Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Knightstown is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
Knightstown suffered their biggest defeat since November 25, 2023 last Friday. They were beaten by Shenandoah 49-19.
Anna Roberson was Knightstown's leading scorer, having posted seven points.
Jaycie Cole held things down on the boards with eight rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Meanwhile, Cambridge City Lincoln scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They skirted past Hagerstown 50-47. The win was just what Cambridge City Lincoln needed coming off of a 39-10 loss in their prior game.
Knightstown has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Cambridge City Lincoln, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-12.
Knightstown couldn't quite finish off Cambridge City Lincoln in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 and fell 40-37. Can Knightstown avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
