Baseball Recap: Lomira Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Lomira duked it out with Fond du Lac on Friday. The Lions lost 12-4 to the Cardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Lomira and nudges their season record down to 8-4. As for Fond du Lac, they pushed their record up to 4-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Lomira will welcome St. Mary's Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fond du Lac, they will venture away from home to take on West Bend West at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Cardinals' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
