Softball Game Preview: Silver Lake Regional Lakers vs. Lincoln-Sudbury Warriors

The Silver Lake Regional Lakers will face off against the Lincoln-Sudbury Warriors at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Silver Lake Regional is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Silver Lake Regional proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by seven) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Central Catholic 3-1. The three-run effort marked the Lakers' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, Lincoln-Sudbury got the win against Hopkinton on Wednesday by a conclusive 9-3. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Hillers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Silver Lake Regional's win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 11.2 runs thus far. As for Lincoln-Sudbury, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Silver Lake Regional beat Lincoln-Sudbury 7-3 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Lakers repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
