Basketball Recap: Scarborough Takes a Loss

Scarborough fought the good fight in their overtime match against Thornton Academy on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 66-59 to the Thornton Academy Trojans. The Red Storm were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.

This is the second loss in a row for Scarborough and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Thornton Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.

Scarborough and Gorham will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Thornton Academy will take on Biddeford in a holiday battle at at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
