Football Recap: Ramsay Takes a Loss

While it was Ramsay who put the first points on the board on Thursday, it was Briarwood Christian who put up more. The Rams and the Lions were almost perfectly matched up, but the Rams suffered a 14-13 loss. The Rams' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row dating back to last season.

When it comes to explaining why Ramsay lost, don't look at Jayden Martin. Despite the final result, he rushed for 148 yards and a pair of scores. Martin's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 126 rushing yards dating back to last season. Ramsay also got help from Pierce Deuce Alexander, who showed off his sure hands for 99 receiving yards.

Ramsay's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Briarwood Christian, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
