Soccer Game Preview: Galway vs. Northville

Galway is 1-8-1 against Northville since September of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Golden Eagles will head out to take on the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Northville took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Galway, who comes in off a win.

Galway took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They never let Canajoharie get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. Galway haven't had any issues with Canajoharie recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Norah Schaperjahn and Olivia Davison-Gauss scored both of Galway's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, Northville fought the good fight in their overtime match against Mayfield on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 5-4.

Northville's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Galway, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
