Softball Game Preview: McDaniel Mountain Lions vs. Southridge Skyhawks

The McDaniel Mountain Lions will head out to face off against the Southridge Skyhawks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McDaniel has given up an average of 8.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

McDaniel came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 16-0 to Glencoe. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Mountain Lions were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Southridge made sure to put some runs up on the board against Lakeridge on Tuesday. Southridge came out on top against Lakeridge by a score of 14-9.

McDaniel's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Southridge, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

McDaniel couldn't quite get it done against Southridge in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 as they fell 4-0. Can McDaniel avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
