Soccer Recap: East Burke Takes a Loss

East Burke lost against Hibriten back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Cavaliers came up short against the Panthers, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, East Burke can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 551st, while Hibriten are ranked 145th).

This is the second loss in a row for East Burke and nudges their season record down to 0-14-1. As for Hibriten, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. East Burke is set to challenge their familiar foe West Caldwell at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Hibriten will square off against rival Chase at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
