Basketball Recap: Booker Skates Past Darrouzett with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Booker over Darrouzett in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Booker Kiowas blew Darrouzett out of the water with a 34-2 final score. With the Kiowas ahead 23-2 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Booker can attribute much of their success to Kyleigh Harrison, who posted four points and seven boards. Harrison is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Maria Perez, who earned six points.

Booker smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Booker is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.4 points per game. As for Darrouzett, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Booker will challenge Follett at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Darrouzett, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kelton at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st.
