Volleyball Recap: Rock Canyon Takes Down Valor Christian in a Playoff Battle

Rock Canyon extended their postseason success on Friday against Valor Christian. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Eagles. This was payback for the Jaguars, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Their offense was headlined by Amari Clark and Logan Cary, who picked up 20 kills apiece. Cary really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 28. Finally, Ziah Anderson kept Rock Canyon's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Despite the loss, Valor Christian still got an impressive performance from Harper Scott, who had 37 digs and three assists. Scott is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

The win was the sixth in a row for Rock Canyon, bringing their record up to 24-3. As for Valor Christian, with the defeat, they broke their ten-match winning streak and moved their record to 23-3.

Rock Canyon's road trip will continue as they head out to face Chaparral at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Valor Christian, they will challenge Pine Creek at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
