Volleyball Game Preview: Rainier Mountaineers vs. Montesano Bulldogs

The Rainier Mountaineers are taking a road trip to challenge the Montesano Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Rainier took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past Winlock 3-0.

Meanwhile, Montesano waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Grizzlies with a sharp 3-0 win.

Montesano's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Rainier, their win bumped their record up to 7-4-2.

Rainier beat Montesano 3-1 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mountaineers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
