Basketball Recap: Elberta Comes Up Short

If Elberta was riding high fresh off their 59-16 takedown of Alabama School of Math & Science on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The matchup between the Elberta Warriors and the Robertsdale Golden Bears didn't end well, with the Elberta Warriors falling 50-33. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Golden Bears earlier this season, when they won 49-46.

Robertsdale had a senior duo take command as Adrian Davis posted five points along with eight assists and seven steals and Kole Singler dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten boards. That's the most points Singler has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Skyler Washington, who had eight points.

Elberta has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Robertsdale, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11.

Elberta will host Baldwin County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Robertsdale, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-27 defeat against Saraland on the 16th.
