Basketball Game Preview: New Lisbon Rockets vs. Weston Silver Eagles

New Lisbon is 9-1 against Weston since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The New Lisbon Rockets will host the Weston Silver Eagles at 7:00 p.m. New Lisbon is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 81-53, which was the final score in New Lisbon's tilt against Bangor on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Weston hadn't done well against Wauzeka-Steuben recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Weston took down Wauzeka-Steuben 64-48.

New Lisbon's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Weston, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-13.

New Lisbon came out on top in a nail-biter against Weston in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, sneaking past 52-49. Will New Lisbon repeat their success, or does Weston have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
