            Softball Recap: Point Arena Pirates vs. Tomales Braves        
        
		
        
        
            The scorekeeper got an easy start  on Friday as neither Point Arena nor Tomales made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Pirates fell  8-3 to the Braves. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Braves apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in April of 2024.

  Hattie Piper was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  double. She is  on a roll when it comes to  triples, as she's  now  hit  at least one in each of the last three games she's  played.
This is the second loss in a row for Point Arena and  nudges their season record down to 2-6. As for Tomales, the  victory was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Point Arena beat the Braves by a score of  10-8 later that day.
